I believe that the label says, "Fruit Drops" in Japanese. It would be pronounced, "Furutsu Duropusu." Meiji is a popular brand in Japan. I was especially fond of their dark chocolate bars. Tomomi and I used to share them with coffee at the pond by the outer shirine of Ise-Jingu.

We didn't know what to call them.
James and I shared them while sitting on our asses watching "family guy" reruns and laughing at inappropriate jokes.
