Above: A-10 Thunderbolt "Warthog", one of the sickest killing machines ever. Along with a whole mess of bombs and sophisticated missles, the A-10 features a 30mm GAU-8/A Gatling gun that can fire 3,900 rounds a minute.
To put that into perspective - that's 65 milk bottle sized bullets each and every second. These big bullets can tear through just about any heavy tank armour there is.
When this machine moves in for the kill the pilot puts the plane into a steep dive because the force of the gun firing out of the front of the plane slows it down so much that it has to me moving extra fast so it doesn't stall mid-air.
I watched a thing about the A-10 on TV: the gun sounds like the loudest chainsaw you can imagine, punctuated by the sounnd of 65 explosions per second.
Scary.

gorgeous. i hate to say it - but yeah - you guessed it: It would look GREAT in the living room.
HUGE though.

Wasn't there a G.I. Joe version of the A-10? It might have been the Cobra Rattler, sans the pivoting wings and VTOL capability.
You know, Mike sold all of Tom's G.I. Joe's at a garage sale while he was at UWO. He was pretty pissed about it, colector value and all...
